Worship

Here at Christ Community Bible Church we believe that everything we do in life should be an act of worship to God. Yet we know that God also calls us to gather as one local body in acts of corporate worship. These acts of worship include things such as adoration, prayer, teaching, serving, sharing, singing, confessing, repenting, reciting, reading, giving, listening, submitting to the Word of God and loving. They are not performed by paid staff only but each one does his part for the building up of the whole body.

When it comes to styles of music we attempt to neither segregate our congregation nor discriminate against individual preferences. Our goal is continuity from one generation to the next hoping to neither be stuck in any particular year in the past nor to abandon the Church’s rich heritage in pursuit of modern trends. We ask everyone worshipping with us to give to one another the gift of full participation in each other’s preferences for the unity of the whole.Listening to a sermon is worship. Partaking of the Lord’s Supper is worship. Contacting a sister in Christ for her encouragement is worship. Singing your favorite song (though I may hate it) in solidarity with you for the glory of Jesus Christ is worship. Serving those in need is worship. Sharing the Gospel is worship.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:12-17 NIV

Worship Team

In our worship services, we attempt to employ all the talent that is available to us. We use piano, drums, bass, guitar, vocalists and whatever instrumentalists God has placed among us. Each team is assembled for each service based on what works best for those songs and who is available.

Sound Room / Projection

Much of our music ministry requires technical support. Those willing to learn how to run the soundboard or the projection program on the computer are very much appreciated. For more information please contact us.
