Youth

About

The Christ Community Bible Church Youth Group is an active part of our church family made up of 6th through 12th graders who meet together for fun, discipleship, and service. Our weekly meetings are every Tuesday night from 7 to 9 pm at the church. We also plan tons of other activities like progressive dinners, late night bowling, yearly trips to Hersheypark, movie nights, and our annual winter retreat.

Calendar

What does a typical Tuesday night look like?

7:00 — 7:20 come hang out and catch up with everyone
7:20 — 7:50 game time (sports and wacky youth group stuff in the gym or outside)

The group in Uth Group

When we are together it is our goal to have fun, do acts of service and experience growth together. We ask that everyone does what the group is doing. To this end, we ask that when you show up for a youth activity that you silence your cell phone or iPod and place it in the cell phone basket.

FUN

Throughout the year we do all sorts of activities besides our weekly meetings. This includes picture scavenger hunts, tubing (weather permitting!) and games on the winter retreat, annual Hersheypark trips, bowling, Christmas shopping trips, progressive dinners, and more! We just like to hang out together.

SERVICE

We also try and serve people in our church and our community. The uth group participates in the Operation Christmas Child program most years, and we also take the time and visit church members who can’t always make it to church. The uth group also sponsors a Compassion Child. Inside our church, we regularly help out for work projects as well as at Vacation Bible School.

GROWTH

Our ultimate goal is to grow in our knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ. This does happen at amusement parks and bowling alleys, and it definitely happens through service opportunities. But in addition to all this, we add times exclusively for learning like on our Winter Retreat.
