Live Your New Identity for the Sake of Unity in the Church

In the introduction we discuss how people get their identity in traditional cultures and in the postmodern West.  We need to let our creator tell us what our identity is.  If we are in Christ, we had an old identity, but now that we have a new identity we need to live it.  We do this by knowing Jesus more.  Paul gives 6 examples in this text of things that are not compatible with our new identity.  Those things divide but in Christ believers are one.
